Most likely the water valve stuck in the open position. The correction is to replace the water valve. - The water valve Part number: AP3672839

I have the same problem. Called a service tech who can't come until next week ( and $80 svc call) How difficult is it for the mechanically disadvantaged to change the dual solenoid valve. The fridge is 13 years old. Thanks.

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator? If you know how to handle a simple tools, this part is not too difficult to replace yourself. Gene.
