My GE side by side (GSS25LGMB BB) will be working just fine then decide to stop cooling. I can unplug for 15 minutes then it will re-start and work fine for about 2 weeks, then the process repeats.
The coils are clean, looking to see where's the next obvious place to look / test. (I can use voltmeter etc...just not sure what to check).
No obvious signs that I know of, no frost build up, no blocked circulation, compressor fan is running. However, the fan that circulates the air inside stays on all the time. Read somewhere about changing the run/stop relays. Does this sound accurate? THANK YOU, Redleg Houston, TX

These are complicated refers, but 95% percent of intermitten problems trace back to the main board. It sounds like a poor solder joint on the boards compressor start relay. You may be able see the bad joint on the back of the board by eye. If so, a dab of solder will do. A good friend of mine does Ge factory repair and he keeps 5 of those boards on his van.

THANK YOU FIXTEC90 !!! Its people like you who are willing to share their knowledge that have made the internet what it is today.
Took your advise and looked at the back of the main board. Sure enough there was a burned black solder joint on the compressor relay, re-soldered the connection and I'm back in business.
Thanks to AppliancePartsPros for providing this forum! I'll be back for parts as I have in the past. Redleg Houston, TX
