My dryer is getting so hot that it is burning my clothes. The heating vent inside the dryer is charred black. The exhaust venting as been checked, the thermostat has been replaced to lesser temperature, and the gas pressure has been checked. This is the second dryer of this particular model. Nobody has an answer. Can you help me?

Electrolux gas dryers are awful. We are currently on our third replacement in 8 months. We received the new one yesterday. We have had the two previous gas dryers melt and burn our clothes. They have destroyed four fleece jackets. The grill gets so hot, items melt onto it and then come off on other clothes. We build our laundry room so that we could have them stacked. Electrolux will refund us money on the dryer so that we can get a new one. Only problem is they will not refund the money on the washer. We have to have them stacked and therefore have no choice but try a third dryer.

I have the same problem with my new Whirlpool dryer. What to buy to replace it? I bet the warranty is garbage and I am sucked in by another rip off.
