Our oven has been clicking on and off by itself. No joke. When you try turning the dial further to the off position it will temporarily stay off but then seems to slip back on. I hear the oven click when it goes on and the oven light confirms this by coming on. The heating element starts to warm up as well.

I'm trying to figure out if I need to replace the whole thermostat or is it just the switch. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Judy,

The oven thermostat has to be replaced, no doubt about it.

The oven thermostat is factory calibrated and has to be replaced as assembly.

- The part number for the oven thermostat is AP2023656

Gene.
