My new dishwasher has been recently installed. I haven't washed dishes in it yet. When I wash dishes in my sink, water fills in my dishwasher (located to the left of the sink) and sits sedentary in the bottom of the dishwasher and then flows onto the floor every couple of days. My repair person does not know why this is happening. There is also a garbage disposal in my sink.

Your dishwasher drains into sink drain. When the drain hose isn't properly looped this happens. secure the drain hose under the sink to the back wall at the highest possible point. Most new dishwasher designs loop the drain hose at the back or on the side of the dishwasher. Could your drain hose be installed wrong?
