Hi Derrick,

Open the freezer door, press in the emitter flapper door (on the left side) to unblock the optics beam and view the diagnostics "status" LED on the right side.

Post your findings.

Gene.

Looks like there is nothing wrong with the optics.

If there is power to the ice maker and the optic boards are fine then the problem is the ice maker itself.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP4318635

You have to remove the bottom bracket from the old ice maker and reattach it to the new one.

Thank you so much for your input
i was thinking that it might be the motor

I have another question I tore the ice maker apart
and i noticed a set of contacts that is controled by a white switch on the left side of the icemaker when you open the freezer door.
what does that actually do?

In the wiring harness which wires are the signal wires that actuates the water refill valve and how do you check the voltage?

again thanks for your in Gene
Derrick

This is probably the switch which operates with the water inlet valve.

Your question about voltage - I'm afraid I did not get it right. What did you mean?

Flashing Red light on Panel is Flashing Twice and my Ice Maker is not working. I have replaced the Water Vaule and the Mother board? It is not getting water up to the ice maker. What does the Red FlaSHING Code Mean??
