My Dryer won't get hot. Everything else appears to be working normal. What could be the problem?

The first thing I would check is 240V at the power outlet.

Then you have to check the following parts for continuity:

1. The heating element (#14 on the break down diagram)

2. The thermal cut-off (#47 on the break down diagram)

3. The high limit thermostat (#48 on the break down diagram)

4. The thermistor (#42 on the break down diagram)

5. The temperature switch (#33 on the break down diagram)

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter – How to check continuity with Ohmmeter.

Any of these parts with an open circuit must be replaced.

- The part number for the heating element is AP2947033

- The part number for the thermal cut-off (including the high limit thermostat) is AP3094224

- The part number for the thermistor is AP3919451

- The part number for the high limit thermostat is AP2973862

- The part number for the temperature switch is AP3037418
