Well I left a message earlier for help in diagnosing a problem with a Frigidare washer. Might have been a little perplexing, so I am gona narrow it down. I took the burnt belt off, so what I need to do is figure out why the motor isn't running in spin mode. The agitator works, timer goes through all cycles, water is going into machine properly, but when timer goes into spin mode, no motor action. So, I need to figure this out. Any one know what I need to check, I think it may be the centrifical switch, could be motor, but I don't know how to check it. Or it could be a number of problems. Also, is the motor suppose to reverse direction on spin mode, from what I have read, the whole case on transmission is suppose to turn in spin mode, that kind of makes me think it might be the centrifical switch, but I am not sure how to check that, is the centrifical suppose to be inside the motor or in the motor switch, if the motor has a switch. Well, any help appreciated. Thanks!

There are a couple things to check...
1. check lid switch for continuity...
2. power to motor fm timer

I was kind of wondering about the switch and timer power to motor. The switch has 4 connections and 4 wires. Two wires come from the latch assembly where the latch goes up in the lid they are white, and there are two wires on the side going toward the back of the machine. I checked the two wires under the latch there attached to the switch (white wires) when I depressed and pressed the switch it showed proper continiuity, but I wasn't sure of the other two wires. Is this a bypass switch, if so are the two wires on the side basically the same as the two I checked and can you use a jumper on the wires to bypass the switch for a temporary check to see if power is going to timer and motor etc...etc... and when disconnecting harness from motor which wires are usually the ones to check from timer. Do you cross both wires with leads and check for 120 volts. Any help appreciated. And does anyone know where to get a service manual for this machine.

Well, I didn't check the motor for power, I didn't check the lid switch, I just watched to see if the motor was working O.K. and it was. Turns out to be the Transmission. Motor was turning in both directions, on all cycles and working properly, so I did a Transmission test, manually, and turns out to be the transie! Thanks for help!
