Dryer too hot - how to test 4-prong thermostat?

I have read that when the dryer is shrinking clothes (even in the low heat setting) it could be due to a failing thermostat. I tested the two High-Limit thermostats and they measure close to zero, but not quite (1 to 3 ohms). The Internal Bias thermostat has 4 prongs. One pair is close to zero and the other one measures infinity. Is this right? Thanks in advance for your help!:)

If the problem is your operating thermostat it will not show up in a continuity or ohms test because the problem is it is not opening when it should.
Try replacing it, it is not a high cost item and see if that helps.
Before you do that however, clean out the dryer, with particular attention to the intake grid and outlet vent through the blower, and the outside vent. High heat may be coming from obstructed venting.

I just replaced the heating element Thermal fuse and the thermostat on my dryer. It worked fine for about 5 minutes then it overheated and stop working. I noticed that the it over heated. Model # LNC7749A71.
