One of the single elements on my Jenn Air is not responding. It is a glass cooktop range with center downdraft ventilation. I know how to replace the infinate control, but may need to replace the element. What is the procedure for removing the glass cooktop? Any special tips or techniques? thanks.

You can find the complete instructions in the service manual (page 20).

Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model JES9800AAW

This is a good reference, thanks. However, the procedure is general and does not describe details. Has anyone removed the glass cooktop on this type of range? Are the elements attached to the underside of the glass, or do the elements attach to the range base? Thanks fr any guidance or tips.
