I pulled this icemaker out from under the counter to clean and vacuum. The drain hose of course came out of the drain pipe going under the house. My problem: It is a completely closed area and I can't get the hose back into the drainpipe whild the machine is out because it is way to short and I can't put it back in when I put it back in place because there is no way to get to it. There is no room around it. My question: Can the front be removed so that I can reach through the bottom area which appears to be fairly open (other than a fem tubes and wires and such?

Hi,
The couple of these that I have seen had the drain tube run down the back of the ice maker cabinet. The back of the cabinet was completely covered so you could not access it from the front.
Yours maybe different. What is the model number of your ice maker?

Yours maybe different. What is the model number of your ice maker? ************ Thank you for your response. The back isn't fully enclosed. I'm sorry, I don't know the Model. I would have to find that out. The unit is at a place (home) that I work for some people. Now don't laugh at me. I tried to use a clothes hanger to hook on the drain hose and from the front floor grill at the floor (you know, like a refrigerator usually has) but I could not get the hose up due to all the other stuff (water coil, wires and such). Then I tried tying string onto the hose and by taking the excess over the top, I was able to guide it enough to get it to set on the top edge of the drainpipe. Unfortunately, when I tried to pus the unit back into the cubbyhole for it, it would knock the drain hose out. So, I pulled it back out. I placed it over the drain pipe and left a not on it to "not push the ice machine back." Then I duct taped the string to keep the end of the drain hose over the drain pipe......at least it won't flood until I can figure it all out.
