BCW,

You can easy find if the circulation pump works. Remove the toe panel, run the dishwasher and touch the pump or just listen to it.

A new dishwasher? This is your wife's toy, so think what will make her more happier - smart and handy husband or a new dishwasher?:)

Gene.

P.S. Even if the pump is not working but the motor is still good, you can fix it using a pump repair kit which is $75.40

Is your washer getting hot (156 F) during wash cycle? Was it before you resoldered the connection? On my unit the solder connection was for a relay that seems to activate water heater on my unit. Got hot again after I soldered it, finishing the cycle.
I think you are missing the last piece of the puzzle.
If you haven't yet, read sticky post:
http://forum.appliancepartspros...dishwasher-stuck-2h.html
Some of the folks had to let theirs run for the whole cycle to reset the cycle times- another used vinegar after fixing the control board issue to let the sensor do its job.

I'm a new member of this forum and am looking for advice on re-soldering a burnt connection on the control module for a 2006 Bosch DW model SHX36A06 UC/36. Symptoms & Background: The DW operated outstandingly until one day the clean cycle ran 4+ hours and steam no longer billowed out when the door was opened. Clearly the inlet water wasn't being heated beyond faucet temp (~115 degrees). My research led me to the control module as the culprit. Upon removal there was clearly one burnt solder connection on the circuit board. I ordered a new module (extremely difficult to find), installed it, but now the "sanitized" light isn't illuminated upon completion of a wash cycle. The dishes are clean, but steam doen't "billow" out like previously when opening the door. I suspect the new module isn't initiating the sanitize cycle, though the replacement seems to be the same as the original part. From reading these forums (thank you by the way), it sounds as though "sbk101" had the same problem and fixed it by re-soldering the burnt connection. Attached are two photos of the burnt connection. Are there any "tricks" or "cautions" when I attempt to re-solder this connection to see if the "sanitize" cycle will now initiate by using the original control module?

did you read this forum?
Bosch Dishwasher Control Module (266746) | ApplianceJournal.com

MrMark (Dec 14 2009 post) will repair your module for you.

Otherwise google how to solder

1. clean burnt solder area
2. heat pin and existing solder with tip of soldering iron
3. when solder starts to melt apply new solder to area
4. I used rosin core electronics solder.

Hi Harold,
thanks for the response. I do have the manual that was posted online and tried to run the test program as described without success.
I have one question: since the controls are only accessible when the door of the DW is open, should the test program start as soon as the buttons are pushed or only after the door has been closed? There was no mention of the door position in the manual.

Regards

Hans

Just found this forum while looking for some help with my Bosch dishwasher not draining.

Entire bottom of the dishwasher is full of water. There seems to be minimal draining during the cycle (looking into my garbage disposal, I see minimal flow when the washer attempts to drain).

Can anyone tell me if I can use the manual that was posted here for my SHE45 model? If not, any ideas on where to get some instructions? The user manual is pretty useless.

Thanks in advance.

You may want to check first the drain hose and the air gap on top of the sink for a clog.
