DEAR SIR; I OWN A STOVETOP MODEL # LGT451 02 BRAND NAME MODERNMAID ; I RECENTLY ORDERED A SPARKMODULE AND FOUR SPARK SWITCHES FOR THIS APPLIANCE, THE SALESMAN TOLD ME THE PARTS FOR THIS MODEL NUMBER IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE; AS THE MODEL NUMBER DOES NOT COME UP ON HIS LISTING HOWEVER THERE IS A MAYTAG SWITCH PART # Y0042053 WHICH IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT AND WILL WORK ; THE SPARK MODULE IS ALSO NO LONGER AVAILABLE BUT MAYTAG PART NUMBER 16009514 OR APPLIANCE PARTSPROS PART NUMBER WPL 12001596 WILL WORK AND IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT . WHEN THE SPARK MODULE ARRIVE I COMPARE THE QUANTITY OF TERMINALS BETWEEN THE REPLACEMENT AND THE ORIGINAL FROM THE STOVE; I NOTICE THE RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT CARRIES FOUR OUTPUT TERMINALS; AND THE ORIGINAL MODULE FROM THE STOVE CARRIES ONLY TWO OUTPUT TERMINALS ; MY QUESTION IS. WILL THE REPLACEMENT MODULE WORK EVEN THOUGH IT CARRIES FOUR OUTPUT TERMINALS INSTEAD OF TWO ? ALSO, WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THE A/C POWER CORD GROUND WIRE TO THE STOVE METAL FRAMEWORK IS NOT CONTINOUS. THE STOVE CARRIES ONLY TWO SPARK ELECTRODES ,ONE LIGHTS UP TWO BURNERS ON ONE SIDE AND THE OTHER LIGHTS UP THE OTHER TWO , THE RECOMMENDED MODULE APPEARS AS IF IT WAS DESIGNED TO FIRE UP FOUR ELECTRODES INSTEAD OF TWO. IF THE REPLACEMENT MODULE WILL WORK WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES PLEASE ASSIST WITH ADVISE OR RECOMMENDATIONS. THANK YOU RAMSING

Hi Ramsing, Looks like the spark module with the part number 12001596 is not what you need for your stove.
The spark module for your stove is one of most popular. It's made by many different manufacturers with different part numbers. I found the best deal on this part. it's made by Frigidaire and the price is just $22.68 The spark module - The Frigidaire part number 5303912606 is Appliance Parts Pros item number AP2149264 If you can post pictures of the original ignition switch, we probably can help you to find a right replacement too. The power cord ground wire must be connected to the metal body of the stove. This is very important for proper performance of the spark module. Gene.

hellow gene; thanks for the reply; the spark module you recommended is here ; fridigare part # 5303912606 appliance parts pro part # ap2149264 . upon opening the package , the installation instruction is showing that the # one output terminal has to be connected directly to ground , hence the reason why i beleive the short green ground strap included in the bag ; this leaves only the number 2 output terminal without a connection , where does the # 2 terminal from the module connects? if i were to connect one of the spark electrodes to the number two terminal , where do i connect the remaining spark electrode as the stove top carries two electrodes ; the drawing is also showing the numbers 5; 11; as the input , and the number 12 to ground and the number 13 goes to nowhere . all those numbers are enclosed in a circle on the drawing, what do they mean? its now very confusing , as to why the green wire is connecting the number one output terminal to ground and it does not say where the number two output terminal is supposed to be connected; the output side of the drawing is very confusing; where do i connect the two spark electrodes on to the module ? if they are connected to the module output #1 and #2 terminals where do i connect the ground wire which is supplied with the package . ???????? please refer to my first letter that i sent to you ; also refer to the installation tructions that comes with the module , please let me know . thank you ramsing

Hi Ramsing,
You have to use the green wire only if there is just one output used.
There are four terminals on the spark module - two input ("L" - lane & "N" - neutral) and two output. Does not matter which one to which igniters (electrodes) connected.
Gene.
