I'm not really sure on the age since I just bought it used. It is a Kenmore <ultra fabric care> model is 110.86983110.

I have been told by several ppl that it is my curcuit breaker.. The breakers have been checked in my house. It is not the breaker..

The dryer will turn on and tumble, but no heat.

Please help...

You are going to need an electrical meter to check this out. If you do not have one, get one or even better, get a friend who has one.

You are going to need to do the following.

1. Check to see if you are getting 120v to each side of the connection block. Yes, I know you said your circuits were ok, but check anyway, takes about 30 sec.

2. If you are getting current, check the high limit thermostat and thermal cutoff. If one is bad, replace both

3. If they are ok, check the heating element. It should have 8 to 20 ohms and make sure it is not grounded to the frame.

This should do it. While you have it apart thoroughly clean it out.
