The dryer will run at first with no problems, then, after a few minutes it shuts off. Then when I try to start it again, it will stuggle to begin turning then shut down. Sometimes if I turn the barrell by hand, it will slowly start and kick on.

I am sorry to say this, but you have a bad motor.

The bearings are overheating and seizing and/or the start winding is bad.

The motor is not too terribly difficult to replace. But, it will take some time.
