Hi, i'm new to the forum, and have a question regarding the dryer line on a hotpoint CSX25GR s/s refrigerator. The refrigerator and freezer has stopped cooling. The very small copper dryer line was laying against the compressor and has wore a hole completely through the line, there is oil/refrigerant coming out of this very small line. The compressor did try to start when I advanced the defrost timer, shook like crazy, but it did try to start until the overload opened. Can irepair/replace the line and have the system recharged or should I be looking to buy another fridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

If the compressor has a tag with R134A on it, your compressor has sucked in air and is probably bad. I would just buy a new one.

Thanks for the reply. The compressor is labeled R134A. It looks as though I will be going refrigerator shopping today. Thanks again.
