Hello,
My problem with my Maytag quiet series 300 is that you can hit start, you can then hear the water going into the machine, but the rest of the cycle never starts. My latch was broken, and after reading some posts here, I thought replacement of that assembly might fix it. Well, just put the latch in today, and same problems.
After trying to run a cycle the bottom filled with water, but then it sits there for about 2-4 minutes, then shuts itself off. I can than hit the start button again, it puts 2 minutes on the time window, and proceeds to drain the dishwasher of water.
I'm about ready to chuck this thing since it doesn't really wash that well, and is over 5 years old. Any cheap easy ideas? If not, any recomendations for a new dishwasher in the $350 - $450 range?
Thanks

I cannot find any info on the given Model Number, please check it. I tried here, a tech site and the Maytag site with no luck. |

Sorry, I read off the model wrong, the third letter is a B, not an 8, so the model number is: MDB8600AWB, the Maytag Quiet Series 300.

I have the exact same problem as Kctay. I have the same unit except my model no. is MDB9750AWB. I noticed they said their unit had always done a lousy job. My experience with our unit is it will clean anything. As they did , I too replaced a broken latch. Then when I try to start a cycle it runs for two minutes then shuts off. I noticed this person did not get an answer. The only assistance they got was some URLs where they could see schematics and parts. I tried them and the bottom two are no longer available.
Can anyone answer our problem?
