Here are your parts Replacement parts for gsd5134do1ww models | AppliancePartsPros.comGlasses ect. placed in upper basket are not cleaning. lower wash arm tower is about 4 inches below upper wash arm when fully extended. Should tower contact upper wash arm in order to function properly? Not sure about this. Pull the lower tower up by hand and that should tell you where it should be when fullu extended. Any other suggestions for solution to problem? Check that the holes in the tower are clean. Check that the holes in the upper arm are clean. Remove the sump cover (inside tub center) and check for debris or something wrapped around the chopper. Be careful there is often broken glass in the sump. Also could be a low water problem, though usually you will hear this re: the unit growls. Most units fill to just under the heater. You could try adding some water to the unit during a fill just do not overfill it. If the unit now runs OK that is your problem. The most likely cause is a partially plugged screen filter on the input side of the water valve. Remove the valve from the unit and clean it. Do not permanently remove the filter from the valve, it is there to keep crud out of the valve, which could hold it open and cause a flood. |
