I've been trying to find help to get my oven working again. I couldn't find a diagram anywhere or repair information on replacing broken parts. I know that there is an ignitor for the oven but clueless as to what it look like or where to find it or if this is the problem. Everything else works just fine on the stove except heat fromthe oven. HELP!

Hi Jewilson, Remove the oven floor and the flame spreader to access the igniter (#14 on the gas controls break down diagram). Unplug the igniter and check for 120V coming to the igniter while the oven control calls for heat. If there is 120V - replace the igniter. - The part number for the oven igniter is AP3455359 Gene.

Hi curt60,
The first thing you have to do is put all wires back in their original position.
Then I need the complete model number of the unit and description of the original problem.
Post it as a new thread, please.
Gene.

Did you see the oven igniter sparking when you turned the oven thermostat "on"?
Can you hear or smell gas coming out of the pilot at this time?

Gene. no spark but I do smell the gas when I turn on the oven dial I have a Caloric gas range model number. RLN385VW, serial number. P1142394N WI. I get no spark from the oven igniter. I do sell a little gas when I turn the nob to ignite the stove. As I told you I changed the wiring around to see if I could get a spark using the top burner wiring and I get a spark that way. I also connected the wiring that usually goes to the oven to the top burner and that made the top igniters spark. I put the wireing back. Now What?
