I have a heat control and saftey thermostats in the dryer. The only problem is that I don't know which one needs to be replaced.

Gene,

The dryer is working electrically, it ignites so I know that part is working. I have removed any and all lint from the whole inside. However, it only runs warm for a very short time then the heat switches off and it just keeps running without drying the clothes. Any info would be most helpful as I have no idea what part to order. A quick reply would be appreciated.

Ken,

Gene told us he'll be on vacation till next week.

Sounds like the gas valve coils are on their way out. The dryer cycles on and off throughout the entire cycle several times. Sometimes, when the coils get too weak, they're energized the first time, but will not function for the rest of the dry cycle.

Thank you, I will try to replace the coils and see if this works.
