Ok guys ran into this little gem this morning.
The washer filled with water fine. It stopped there. It won't spin at all, on any setting of the dial.
I can hear a noise which I believed to be the motor, but when that noise is happening, nothing is spinning. After searching the forum, it looked like the problem might be the plastic coupler.
So, I took the machine apart quickly via the YT video I found here (thanks for that btw!) but the coupler is intact on both sides of the rubber collar.
I haven't plugged the machine back in yet to see what I can see if anything, but does anybody have any suggestions on where I should look next?
Thanks!

I should specify....it doesn't spin, agitage, nothing. The drum doesn't move at all that I've seen since this began this morning.
If I spin the drum by hand, the coupler does not move. Should it? I guess at this point I'm looking at either the clutch or the trans?

Also, could the timer affect this at all?

I did get a resolution. I replaced the lid switch, which was a piece of cake.
I still don't understand how the lid switch could cause what I described above, but everyone I talked to was convinced that was it, and sure enough, that was the problem! I found it at an appliance repair shop for $53.

I have another question for you. I put my machine back together and started a cycle. After the fill was done I pushed down on the lid switch and nothing happened. does that mean it's not my lid switch that is the problem?
