Need help with built-in oven on bake not maintaining temperature. No error codes, started last week maybe 2 weeks after she put it through self clean cycle. I didn't believe her but its true when I tested @ 275 heats up and says 275 after 15 minutes and is 275 when turn on & off right away. Tested @ 350 heats up and says it is 350 after 15 minutes but when turn it off & on right away says it is really only 325. Tested @ 400 heats up and says it is 400 after 15 minutes but when turn it off & on right away says it is really only 315 Broil seemed to bring temp up to 600 fine with red hot element. In actual cooking when she new it was wrong it took turning the oven on & off several times to make it stay up at proper temp even though it says it maintains temp and you hear the ticking the temp would really seem to turn off so it took 1.5 hrs for 30 minute chicken casserole. Visual on Bake element & Sensor ASM no burn damage. Haven't tested resistivity of either but need correct OHM reading for them if OK. By reading this forum it seems it may be one of the above cheaper parts or the more expensive Oven control erc111. Any suggestions on what/how I should try test further or if it likely which parts should I replace. I checked twice and the above model # is correct on the plate but the website has no O between the B&A, weird? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Warren

Hi Warren, The first thing I would do is check the oven temperature sensor resistance at the control board. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature. If the reading is wrong - remove the oven from the cabinet and check the resistance at the sensor connection to the wire harness. If it's wrong - replace the oven temperature sensor. If the reading at the sensor is correct then check the wire harness and redo the sensor connection to the wire harness using a hi temperature porcelain wire nuts instead of the plug.. If the reading at the control board is correct - replace the control board. - The part number for the oven temperature sensor is AP3187983 - The part number for the hi temperature porcelain wire nuts is AP3440522 - The part number for the ERC is AP3183198 Here are the break down diagrams for the GE oven Model JTP15BA5BBGene.
