Hi,

My 2 year old Fridgedair dischwasher is getting so hot it's melting the plastic dishes. I assume a thermometer has gone bad, but I supposed it could be the heating element. Anyone know if this is user repairable and what parts I would need?

Thanks!

And here is a manual, not an exact match to yours but should be close.

Could be a problem with the dry fan/vent assembly.
If OK then check that the heater is cycling during the dry portion of the cycle.
