I have a GE Profile washer that during the wash cycle the basket rotates with the agitator and makes a loud clanking noise at the end of each cycle. It is obvious that the drive spline is not picking up to release during the wash cycle, but I'm not sure why. I would guess either the pickup coil has failed or the voltage output to the coil if faulty. Measuring the output voltage on the card that goes to the coil yields a voltage of 300 vdc, which seems a little odd. Can anybody tell me if the output voltage is normal and what the normal resistance across the coil should be? Any help would be appreciated.

With a full washer, if it spins up to speed and agitates at the same time=new tranny time.
