The dishwasher doesn't dry properly. The heater works, during drying the unit gets hot, but the moisture seems to stay inside, and everything is hot and damp at the end of the cycle. Is there an air blower for drying, and how does the vent work?

Seems I have the exact same problem, see Thread dishwasher not hot, wife getting hot.
We need that guy Gene to come along and tell either one of us what the probably cause is or it's hunt and shoot for me.

I've made some progress. Seems there is a part called a vent assembly in the upper lefthand corner of the door behind the control panel. Inside is a rubber flapper valve and an electrically operated valve of some kind. When the unit is running, the electric part of the valve is energized, heating up a coil that presses this valve closed. When the unit is in dry cycle, the valve deenergizes and opens. But, it isn't connected to this flapper valve in any way. I removed the rubber flapper, and this creates a permanently open vent from inside the machine to the outside. Now the dishes dry perfectly, since the missing flapper lets all the moisture laden air escape. I cannot figure out how the electric portion of the valve is supposed to open the flapper portion. I'm inclined to leave it the way it is, since it works now. Go figure! if anyone has any idea how this vent valve works, I'd love to know.
