Machine has just started knocking in the spin cycle and less loud in the wash cycle. If it is the transmission,because of the cost od there a rebuilt option

The model number is MAV4757AWW, ser # 27621013JP

The machine knocks when spinning and at a lesser level washing. The machine for now functions fine.

Tilt the washer back. Remove and check the belt. Check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions.
