My Matag washer only works on the Perm Press Cycle. It'll take water on the normal/heavy duty cycle but won't continue after it fills. Before I dig in and start replacing the switch I thought I'd better check and see if I might be overlooking a fuse or something.

Since it will work on one cycle, that suggests the mechanics are ok and the timer is your problem. Take off the connection and thorough clean the contacts and reseat it, make sure ever contact is good.

If that does not repair it, I suggest you replace the timer. There are a multiple of timers for your model so if you order it be sure and give your serial number and confirm that you are getting the correct one.

Thank you sidfink43! I disconnected the contacts and cleaned them with some contact cleaner then reintalled them and everything worked properly.

Thanks again!
