Symptoms; Washer starts filling. Approximatly a quart or less of either cold, warm or hot water then stops filling. A loud humming from the water inlet relay(s) is heard. Cycle doesn't advance. Tests ran; Checked the water pressure switch and line, it works fine and the line is clear. Removed the pump and tested it. It works fine. Checked water inlet valves for sediment, they are clear. Water inlet hoses are new. History; Machine originally started stalling during the rinse cycle. Problem began after moving machine slightly over a mile to a new residence several months ago. Was able to manually move timer past stall point to complete cylce. Recently, past couple of wash loads using warm and hot cycles ran fine until rinse cycle. Cold, however, filled slightly then stalled. Now all cycles are stalling in the initial fill after releasing a quart or less of water. I suspect the water inlet valve has gone bad. Please advise. Thank you, Dave Clizbe

I think you are right about the water inlet valve being bad. Just make sure you have good water pressure coming to the machine and if so replace the water valve. Clothes Washer Repair Guide
