This washer suddenly developed a bad leak. Pulled the back off, water spews from all around the tub opening where the transmission is centered. At first, I suspected the gasket (#301 in the DWG for the assembly from this site) might be torn, but when I poked around a bit, I discovered the gasket (or seal) does not appear to be clamped to the tub itself in any way, so I suspect there is either a broken clamp, or missing glue, or such, which I DIDN" 'T SEE in the dwg.

Need the order to disassembly, repair, and reassembly.

I suspect we pull the entire top of the washer, then the agitator, then the basket, replace the rubber part, clamp, reassemble...

Am I right?

Well, I got lucky. Put my hand up through the hole from the bottom, and was pretty sure the big accordion boot between the transmission and tub had come loose. Turns out the clamp holding it in place is stainless, as is the screw for it. Nothing broke or rusted through... it just came loose.

Due to a wildy out of balance load? Possibly. Put the boot and clamp back, reassembled, and it works.
