I have a ge profile washer. Starts, fills, agitates fine. Then stops mid cycle. A push pull on the control and it will start and run for awhile, only to stop again. What could be the problem? Suggested solution? New part? (number?)
Thx.

Hi mark I have the same problem with a G.E washer. It sounded to me like a bad timer but turns out it does the same thing with a new one installed. I also jumped out the lid switch with no success. I would appreciate it if you would let me know if you find a solution to the problem .
Thanx

Well I can coax mine through the cycle with a little on and off. My brother and I tested the water level switch, and since that was ok I ordered a new timer. I hope I haven't wasted my money. If the new timer does not fix the washer, then I'll call the GE repairman to finish the job.
