Delicate heat works..but no main heat..checked circuit board, 3 relays burned..circuit board replaced with no help. Repaired old board and made jumper around relays so main heat would work..which it does..so main element is ok..tested almost (if not every) wire and circuit..all seem to be within tolerance. Seems like the controller will not tell the main heat to come on, or some sensor we are not thinking about is faulty. The only problem up until now was the standard repeating lint filter light, so I cleaned and checked the sensor..it seems alright, but did not solve the main heat problem. right now, we have it temporarily working..but the main heat only comes on with the timed cycle..not the automatic cycle. Any thoughts appreciated.

I have not worked on a Bosch Dryer and probably very few of us who reply on this Forum have also, so I can only give you the generic answer.
If the main heat will come on with the timed setting but not the automatic setting the problem would seem to be in the mosture sensing component of the machine. There may also be some other electrical issues which caused your relays to blow.
Given what you have done I assume you have some tech notes and a wiring diagram,(I have nothing) so see if you can chase down how the moisture setting works and see if you can find a problem there.
If your temporary fix is to bypass things, be very careful. As I am sure you know, that is not a long term solution, and be sure never to leave the house with the dryer running until you get it operating correctly.
