WHEN this maytag washer is in a spin cycle it vibrates badly and walks all over the floor, you can not hold it down..this even happens when the washer is in a spin cycle and empty, with no clothes or water in it..
there are no broken springs under it.all other functions work okay. .wash,, filling of water and draining of water,etc
it has been leveled many times and that is not the problem..when it is in a spin cycle it starts to spin okay as it builds up speed.. then at high speed it just goes crazy..shaking and starts walking all over the floor..you can not hold it down in place when it is in a spin cycle..if you count, it seems like if you count 1..2..3.. and repeat.. when you get to 3 is when it seems to add to the vibration..
the inner tub moves and rotates okay ,by hand, there is nothing that is catching it. it has good freedom of movement..
it is in a small town amd 45 miles from anywhere..
what needs to be looked at ?? where does one find a repair manual??

This is a Whirlpool Direct Drive washer masquerading under the Maytag brand name. The two probable causes of your problem are (1) broken suspension springs and (2) a broken suspension plate and other support components. I would change out the suspension springs as it is a very inexpensive repair and may fix things. A spring can be bad but not visible and the only way to check it out is to replace them. When you change them out you will be able to inspect the suspension components. i see the 3 springs from under the machine.. one is a longer vertical spring, at the back of the machine, and two horizontal shorter ones..they all stretch and contract ,when the plate the motor is mounted to, is moved.. i see a little white,i assume white lythium grease, on the plate but there is not much of it..
i need to open the back cover plate to the washer and watch how everything moves in the spin cycle.
i also have a whirlpool washer to maybe compare operation ,that that one does not drain water. they are both 2005 type 111 models..
the manual has alot of good part break down information..thank you..

Sounds good, there should be three horizontal springs (one is hard to see).
Check the pump and drain hoses on the one that does not drain, maybe its a sock or something obstructing things and an easy fix.

i only see 2 each horizontal springs and one verticle spring..

hello.. i replaced the springs to the washer and it still vibrates the same..i think it vibrates so harshly that it broke the spring..i do not see and bent or broken brackets,under the washer frame holding any of the springs..the metal parts or plates ,the move holding the motor to the frame, move smoothly.
i am wondering if something is wrong in the trasmission in the spin cycle??
when i slightly lift the lid and watch it start to go into a spin cycle.. i notice the tub is not spinning in a center position.. it is more egg shape of spin..about 1/2 inch either side of center.. i also notice the inner tub, at the top of the inner machine, is not spinning in a level movement.it is more up and down movement by about 1/2 inch or so..
what do i look at now??

Well darn, hoped that would do the trick. YOu are going to have to take off the tub and inspect the skate plate and tub support parts to see if you can locate the problem. The parts are shown in that diagram and here is a service manual that will show you how to get into it. https://secured.whirlpoo...2007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdfIf that looks ok you may have a problem in your brake tube assembly, or even a broken tub.
