I have removed the timer on my whirlpool washer. I check it out. It is getting power to it. But it does nothing. Is there a way I can get it to work without replacing it?

It is somewhat unusual for the timer to fail electrically. However, it the machine will not fill, and when you move the timer to the spin mode it will not do anything, and this is the situation on all cycles then the timer is the likely problem.

Try every setting on all cycles, with the lid switch by passed and if nothing happens I would try replacing the timer.
