I woke up this morning to find that my side by side GE Profile Arctica is not cooling all the way to the set temperature. It is set at 37/0. The freezer side is about 38 degrees and the refrigerator side is at 47 degrees. If I put my hand in the freezer side just under the ice maker I can feel air moving. I used a temperature prob in that area and the temperature is 43 degrees. I removed the back panels. The circuit board doesn't look to have any burnt areas. The motor on the bottom is turning. I don't know how fast it is supposed to me turning. I need some help.

After reading some other posts with similar symptoms I have tested continuity on the defrost heater. Checked out closed at around 28 Ohms. The compressor does not seem to be running. It is cool to the touch and I feel no vibration from it.

Is this a circuit board issue?

Plugged it it again to test some things again and now all I hear is one of the relay's click on the board but nothing comes on. The condenser fan doesn't run any more. The temp controls inside show 0 degrees on the freezer and 62 on the refrigerator. Tried dropping the set temps down but nothing will come on now.

Any suggestions?

If the fan near the compressor is running and the compressor isn’t you got a bad main board.

If you hear a constant clicking noise from the board the board is bad.

Did you remove the board and look for a burnt spot on the back of the board? That is where the burnt spot would be. If you see a burnt solder joint you can try to repair it if you have a soldering iron and are comfortable doing so. It may be wise just to go ahead and replace the board. Hope this helps!

At first the fan was running but not the compressor. Now neither runs. I finally found a wiring schematic online and was able to jump the compressor and it works. The evap fan and condenser work too. So I am assuming now that it's the board.

I am having the same problem, I think. I have only removed the back panel in the freezer. The coils are frozen on the bottom, I thawed them out and the freeze right up again. All the fans semm to be running, and the freezer temp is 26 and the frige is 46. Help please, ideas?
