I had my range converted to LP when I bought it as I did not have access to natural gas. I do now and today my gas guys are switching me over and I am responsible for conversion kits. Problem is, Fridgidaire has no conversion kit for going back to gas, only gas to LP. Parts people want to sell me indivdual burner tubes instead.

The helpline (Ha! good one!) people at Electrolux (Frigidaire) say "just remove the LP orifice and you are good to go. Installer says "impossible!" that when the conversion to LP was done you remove the old gas orifice and replace with LP orifice (and no one saved that original gas orifice). The gas orifice doesn't just get covered up by the LP orifice, so now if you remove it, there will just be a hole - the original gas orifice isn't still there hiding. But I must say, he hasn't actually taken it apart to look.

Anyone know the story? Do I really need new gas orifices, that are not available for sale and now I have to buy the whole tube, or is Frigidaire right and the gas orices is still there hiding under the LP orifice?

Wow, I'm confused.

Just did conversion on my new Frig. range. Had to remove NG orifices and replace with LP orifices. You'll need to obtain appropriate NG orifices. Mfgs. don't like for owners to do own conversions. You'll probably have to get help from a repair service. Even if you had old NG orifices you would still need directions.

If you have tube burners, here is a link to conversion orifices which might work:

Hope this helps.
