Wife says she started it, it made a loud thud like something heavy dropped in the back of the dryer (possibly up near the control panel) and now it does nothing. Any ideas? Is there a breaker or fuse I can try. The light is out and I changed the bulb a few months ago, so I think there's no power.

A Model Number may help others help you.

Some units have a switch at the idler wheel which senses belt tension.
Could be the thud was the belt breaking and the switch has turned power the power off.

Flip you breaker off/on a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without tripping the breaker.
Better yet measure it at the plug.
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts
