Actual age is unknown, I bought from craigslist 6 months ago. So, the agitator is not operational. Also, I noticed that my clothes are much too wet at the end of the cycle; are these issues related or independent of each other. Looking for troubleshooting advice. Thank you so much.

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need you to post more specific description of the problem.

Thanks! Specifically, when a cycle begins the washer will fill up with water, then once full it does nothing for a number of minutes, after which time it will spin and drain. It then refills, and again once full it will do nothing for a number of minutes. Then it repeats the spin and drain. I'm assuming that the periods of "doing nothing" are the times it should be agitating. At completion of the cycle, the clothes are much too soaking wet, and I notice clumps of powdered soap on my clothes. Hope this helps.

Did it make any noises while it was "doing nothing"?

Most likely the problem is a bad timer.

- The part number for the timer is AP3100187
