The door on our front loading Whirlpool Duet washer is misaligned so that when the door is closed the striker on the door that latches the door hits the top of the square recepatcle it fits into. If you lift the door from the bottom with your hand, it will raise up to make the striker align perfectly. How do we make this adjustment (to the hinge?).

The hinge assembly does not have an adjustment, but you might try unscrewing it and seeing if you can "shin" it up so that it strikes correctly. If not, here is the replacement hinge
