Hello All,
I have a pretty old hotpoint (RB757GT1AD) and the day I left the oven on over night and my problem started. When i turn on the breaker the oven has a PF error code. I think its an error code. Then when the oven is set to off it will begin heating on it own. Ill turn it to 400 degrees and the oven on light will come on an right after the preheated light will come on like it ready to bake. Or at other times the oven on light will not come on and the preheated light will just flash. Its like its got a mind of it own. Ive already replaced the heating element thinking thats what it was. Thank you for you help

It sound like it almost got to be the main control (clock) but it is possible it is the sensor. If you have an ohmmeter check the sensor it should read 1000 ohms at room temperature. If not replace it. Hope this helps! Range Repair Guide
