My Roper Dryer drum has stopped spinning. The motor is working and heating up inside the drum. The belt is intact. Any ideas? Thanks

Here are your parts Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL REX4634JQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.comTry turning the drum by hand should turn fairly easily. If not it may be jammed. Run your fingers around the front and back of the drum seal to see if anything has fallen between the drum and the frame. Be careful in case it is sharp. I know fairly easily is not much of a description so you may want to try this on a couple other units to get a feels for it. If you recently worked on or replaced the belt, it could be that it is on upside down, the ribs on the belt should be facing the motor's pulley. Also check that the idler is keeping tension on the belt. |
