Hi all,
Just purchased a GE PSH23SGAP (SN MF421975, manufactured July 2003). Brought home upright in truck, let sit a day then plugged in. Thing seemed to run fine.
Problem is: it doesn't STOP running. When I press "COLDER" or "WARMER" buttons it seems to display current temperatures in freezer and fridge compartments, but those displayed temps are BELOW the desired ones. Just for grins, I tried hitting one or both of the "WARMER" buttons which eventually were supposed to put the machine in off-mode. The freezer and fridge displays show "OFF," yet machine continues to run.
Any input would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance! MJ

Finally found a thermometer.
Freezer display shows -1, thermometer placed about mid-way up/down in freezer, with sensor toward back, showed -1.3. Selected temp: 5.
I had a technician over to fix my range and asked him generally about problems with fridges. He said that because I didn't have much stuff in the fridge, the temps could be low. I forgot to mention to him that the machine doesn't turn OFF when that is selected with the touch controls. Anyway, I bought more food and filled up fridge/freezer to see if it would have an effect and temps are still significantly below desired.
Tomorrow is the last day I have to return the fridge, so feedback is appreciated!

If you have a meter I can help to diagnose it, otherwise take it back, this has the infamous motherboard in the back. GE has had a lot of trouble with it.

Per richappy's suggestion, returned fridge. They tried to deny there was a prob(!), asking if it cooled (yes) and no food spoiled (yes), but I wrangled with them and got a refund.
Many thanks, and happy holidays to all!

Good that you did that, I could make cynical comments, but won't.
