Gene. I have a GE refrigerator model number tfx22zpdaww. I have determined that the defroster element is bad. I currently have the single element part #AP2071523. I see there is an upgraded dual element part #
AP4355467. Is that dual element kit a direct replacement or would I need additional parts of I wanted to go with the dual element?? Thanks.

I am not a parts guru but the dual heater does come as a kit.

If you click on it's picture a new page will open and show you what is included.

Even if you have to splice it in, this is no biggy.
Just use wire nuts, do the splice, then position the wire nuts with the open end facing down to help keep defrost water out of them.

Some folks also like to seal the open end with some caulking.
