I have a bad LG 2M246 - 310GF magnetron. The top of the unit has shorted against the cabinet and continues to arc. I've pulled it out but can't find a direct replacement. I've found other 2M246 models with the same ratings but not the 310GF. Are they interchangeable? Is there a 'universal' magnetron I can use?

Carefully check the waveguide above the magnetron hole, if burnt, your new magnetron will arc also!! New microwave time if so.

The part that holds the magnetron is burnt from the arcing but I can't feel or see anything inside the hole.

If the inner wall of the waveguide is pitted from arcing=new microwave time.
