I engaged the oven lock and set the cleaning cycle controls. The oven heated, the door locked, but the "cleaning" light did not come on. After 4 hours, the cycle ended and the lock disengaged. When I opened the door it was evident that no cleaning had taken place. Suggestions?

The self clean did not work because you did not set the start and the stop time on the oven clock as described in the "Use and Care" book (pages 21 through 23).

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool range Model SF365BEWN3

I followed the directions exactly as listed in the guide. As I said, the oven heated but the "cleaning" light never came on. The cycle ended at the time I had set it for.
