I have a Thermador electric double oven Model number SC302TB. The top oven has the convection option. The top oven will get hot if Bake is selected but won't heat up if you choose convection. The fan spins but no heat. Any suggestions?

Remove the cover for the convection heating element (#15 on the convection module break down diagram).

Visually inspect the heating element for any burned spots.

Replace the convection heating element if any burned spots found.

Remove the screws holding the convection heating element and carefully pull the heating element out as far as wires will go. Remove the wire(s) from one of the heating element terminals and check the heating element for continuity.

Replace the convection heating element if it's open.

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter – How to check continuity with Ohmmeter.

- The part number for the convection heating element is AP2834569

Here are the break down diagrams for the Thermador oven Model SC302T
