 Range was working fine (oven and stovetop) until I tried to use the clean mode. The display looks like it's going to work, but there is a faint 'clattering' noise, the door doesn't lock, and it finally displays an F-9 error code. None of the buttons respond and none of the stovetop dials will move. I tried to reset it by flipping the breaker and leaving the power off for a few minutes, but it goes right back to the same cycle of appearing to start the clean process, and never makes it - only back to the F-9 error (so now I can't use it at all!). This range is at our weekend home and I neglected to get the model number off of it before returning to our regular home. It's a stainless convection range, smooth top, approx. 7-8 years old. Help if you can!

The "F9" error code means the EOC (electronic oven control) has found the lock motor switches to be out of sequence or shorted.
Test switches and if there is nothing wrong then replace the EOC.
In order to provide more accurate information I need the complete model number of the unit. You can find it on the frame behind the bottom drawer.
Gene.
