I am having granite counters put in Friday and am removing the old counter tops. I need to remove the Whirlpool cooktop. I know how to turn off the gas, remove the gas line and unplug the unit. I can't find any brackets or clamps underneath it to unscrew so I can lift the cooktop out of it's space. Is there anything holding it in place? Should I get a putty knife and go around the edge in case there was any clear caulking or sometype of glue put down? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

A Model Number may help others help you.
Also if you go to the Whirlpool sie under Owners Center/ Manuals & Literature, you may find the installation instructions which would help you uninstall it. |
