after using washer all day an unbalanced load message appeared. finally I removed the clothes out of the water and tried again, still unbalance load. I pulled the electric circuit , waited and then plug washer back in. Put the cycle on Drain & spin. I could hear the motor starting for the spin cycle but nothing happened. if you let the timer run another error message of 5d would appear.

any suggestions?

thank you,

Hi Christine
These are great machines when they work properly, when they don't, well they are very difficult to diagnose, so you may end up having to replace some parts on speculation.

Before doing anything like spending money I would say let's start by completely cleaning out the drain system. To do this you will need to lay the washer on its front to access the drain pump and hoses.

Here is the service manual which will show you how to do that, along with some info on your error codes and what they mean. After you drain out the system and check for any obstructions in the drain/pump/tub, put things back together and see how it does.
