My Kenmore Elite filled with water in two minutes. Then the washer with its front panel illuminated did not start. When my current 39 nine year old dishwasher (wife) called me to inspect, I heard the sound of a strained humm coming from the unit. I assumed the motor is frozen (bad bearing ect). I removed the motor and it turns but not freely. I do not know if this because the impeller is on it. Is there any advice as to how to determine if the motor is bad?

Is there any advice as to how to determine if the motor is bad? connect the cord direct to the motor, hold it so the impeller doesn't strike anything and plug it in. If the motor runs free its probably ok.

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the dishwasher.
