I can hear the motor running but the drum doesn't move. The washer lets water in and out, but the drum is not moving. I can hear during the spin cycle high pitch spinning of the motor, but drum doesn't move. Any ideas?

Remove the access panel (#13 on the rear cabinet break down diagram) and check the belt.

If the belt is broken - replace it.

If the belt fall off but it's not broken, open the door and check if the drum is moving up and down.

If it does then most likely the rear bearing is worn out and has to be replaced.

The rear bearing comes as a part of the outer tub assembly.

- The part number for the belt is AP204967

- The part number for the outer tub assembly is AP3841622

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag Neptune washer Model MAH5500BWW
